Thank you for support

7 November 2016 (by Craig.Orgill)

A thank you from our school

We would like to thank you all for your support over the last few weeks. We apologise that your child’s education was interrupted last week following the break-in during the early hours of Wednesday morning. This was due to the widespread damage caused by the thieves and the ongoing police investigation. Communication with you all was made more difficult because one of the rooms targeted was the main office and we could not access any files until the police forensic unit had completed their investigation. Luckily our main texting service was available from outside of the school. If you have not received texts from us over the last week please let the office know so we can check our system. Repairs are well underway and school reopened fully to pupils this morning. The sponsored Bike Ride which had to be postponed last Thursday has been rescheduled for Monday 14th November 2016. We are extremely grateful to Warrior Doors from Birmingham who have kindly donated a new high security door to replace the one the thieves targeted and also enhanced internal security provision for the storage of the ipads and other technology when the school is closed. We are also very grateful to the parents who have set up a Just Giving page to try and raise £2000 to cover the excess charges on the insurance claims. This is already producing great results and we are receiving donations from all over the UK. https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/sam-toon Once again thank you all for your understanding and support over the past few weeks.
