Language Day

5 March 2014 (by Craig.Orgill)

Language Day Tuesday 8th April 2014

There will be a Language Day on Tuesday 8th April 2014. We would like the pupils to come to school dressed in red, white and blue, the colours of the Tricolore, the French flag. The day will begin with a French Breakfast in the hall from 9.30 until 10.00. To suit various dietary requirements there will be a choice of items. To eat there will be a choice of a croissant, a pain au chocolat or a baguette. To drink there will be a choice of hot chocolate, orange juice or milk. We would like to ask for a voluntary contribution of £2 towards costs. This would be greatly appreciated. The Breakfast will take place in the dining hall and there will be music and a quiz for each form group to take part in. There will be various group activities throughout the day including: • Making bunting to represent a continent. • A quiz about the continents of the world. • A multi-cultural themed lunch. • An art activity based on the khamsa which is a symbol of good luck from Morocco, Africa. • Food Tasting. If your child has any allergies please telephone the school before Friday 4th April 2014
