Request for leave during term time
A leave of absence in term time is only normally granted in exceptional circumstances, so please enter as much detail as possible below e.g. Special Needs, as this will help the headteacher with their decision. The school will then write to you and inform you of the decision on whether the request is authorised or not.
Please note that if a leave of absence is not granted and the child is still taken out of school, this absence will be recorded as unauthorised and may be subject to a penalty notice.
