Loudmouth Theatre

18 June 2025 (by Gemma Duff (gemma.duff))

Dear Parents/Carers,

As a school we take safeguarding of all our pupils very seriously and our PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and
Economic) education programme allows pupils to understand the importance of staying safe, while preparing
them for life now and in the future.

We are delighted to be welcoming Loudmouth Theatre Company to school on Tuesday 24th June 2025 to work
with our upper KS2 and KS3 pupils. Loudmouth is an innovative theatre in education company, based in the
West Midlands, who support PSHE education in schools through interactive drama performances. Loudmouth’s
work aims to ensure a future where all young people are healthy, happy, safe, and resilient.

Years 5 and 6 will participate in a production called ‘My Mate Fancies You.’ The programme uses a fun and
informative drama plus discussion workshop to help children and young people to understand the transition to
new schools and puberty, reassure them that it is normal/not something to worry about and advise them
where to go for support.

Years 7 and 8 will participate in a production called ‘Calling it Out.’ This programme reinforces to students the
vital message of non-tolerance of harmful sexual behaviour exploring where these behaviours are coming from
and alternative positive behaviours.

Both workshops will last for ninety minutes and allow pupils to watch the production and then ask relevant
questions.

We recognise that our pupils are exposed to a range of experiences, when outside of school and hope that by
participating in these workshops they will further their understanding of these important topics.

If you have any questions about the above productions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely
